Deric
Rush
is an expert guitar and amp service
technician. You may recall his name from the Deric Rush
Band, as Deric was a top notch performer in the
Indy/Bloomington area during the 90’s. As a meticulous performer and
player, he searched for a competent service technician to keep his
personal gear in top-notch shape. In his own words, “I found the
competence of the ‘guitar techs’ I met was sorely lacking.”
It
was the recognition of this need that led Deric from his performance
career to a fierce determination to become an expert professional luthier.
After obtaining a double major degree in Fine Arts and Science from Mr.
Gallop recognized his potential, and personally instructed him in the
further study of acoustic guitar design and repair, with emphasis on
Gibson and Martin guitars. Since then he has dedicated his work full time
to expert stringed instrument and electronics repair for more than a
decade. Beyond stringed instrument repair, Deric services sound and
recording equipment, solid state and tube amplification, and is authorized
factory tech for many different companies. We have totally revamped the
Guitarworks tech shop to Deric’s specifications, and we plan on a career
long relationship together. Deric
brings to Guitarworks the unique combination of technical knowledge,
musical knowledge, and people skills that make him the perfect man to lead
Guitarworks’ repair department. Deric is the man we’ve been looking
for to make the Guitarworks service department head and shoulders
above all others in Get
